The festival's public screenings present five featured selections — specific dates and times to be announced. All 32 nominated films of the Global Panorama and Light of Peace sections compete for the festival's awards, revealed at the Closing Night ceremony on Saturday, August 1.

About the Nominated Films

The 32 features of the Global Panorama (15 films) and Light of Peace (17 films) are the festival's 2026 Official Selection — nominees in competition for the festival's awards. The winners are revealed at the Closing Night ceremony on August 1 and will then be brought to Washington screens.
